Henry and Daisy
Henry has discovered Daisy! I noticed it the other day when I was carrying Henry and Daisy was following us around. Henry would just periodically start laughing and I wasn't sure why as I wasn't doing anything to make him laugh. Then I noticed that he was only laughing when he spotted Daisy. So I tried to capture this interaction of a boy and his puppy on camera. It's not exactly what he had been doing earlier but it's close enough. Please ignore my silly baby voice. Enjoy!

Rollin, rollin, rollin!
A couple days ago, Henry rolled over from his back to his belly. A major accomplishment and I was majorly proud :) So tonight, he was having tummy time and he was pushing himself up onto his elbows. Which he has done before, but then he started tucking his arm under and looking lke he might roll over! Of course, I run for the Flipcam (love that thing!) and catch him figuring out how to roll the easy way from his back to his belly! Yippee!!!! Check it out. I'm still a huge dork and I don't think that will go away ANY time soon ;)
James was outside at the time and of course, I run to get him. Luckily for James, Henry decided to put on a repeat performance and rolled over two more times for daddy :) Good job Bugs!!!

Henry rolls over!
He did it!! Henry rolled over! Now of course, there is a story to this. From what I hear, babies usually roll from their bellies to their backs first because it is easier. Well no one told Henry this! A few days ago, Auntie Em had put Henry down for a nap (on his back to sleep!). When he started crying a little bit later, she went in to check on him and found him on his belly!!! Then a day or so later, James had put him down on his mat and went to go his bottle ready. When he came back, Henry was on his belly again! So neither one of them actually witnessed the event. When I heard about both these rolls, I gave Henry a speech that I am sure I will need to repeat several times in the future. I told him that he was not allowed to do any milestone events for the first time while mommy is at work, he must wait until I get home to do anything monumental. And you know what... Henry listened!!! So tonight we were playing on his mat and he started looking like he might roll over. Lucky for me, I grabbed the Flipcam just in time to catch Henry rolling over!!!!!! Please enjoy the sounds of a totally dorky mom :) I was just so happy I was home to see it and I was the first one to actually see him do it. Selfish I know, but I am his mommy!
Way to go Bugs! Momma is proud :)

New Henry pics!
I have been so bad at blogging lately. I just seem to have no time for it. And when I do have time, honestly, I'd rather sleep. Then when I finally sit down to blog, something has to annoy me, like right now, for some reason everything is underlined and I have no idea why, nor can I un-do it! Whatever. Here are some new pics of some random Henry adventures! Enjoy! :)
Henry turned two months old so you all know what that means... shots! I have been dreading this ever since he was two days old and got his heel stuck. This boy does NOT like needles!
Here's Henry BS (before shots) all happy and totally unaware of what evil things his parents are plotting.
Sweet boy :)
AS ( after shots) he is royally PISSED!
I know it looks like I am smiling here but really I'm not. I feel so bad for baby boy :(
His poor little legs after getting three (yes 3!) shots.
Henry has been very busy growing up and learning all kinds of new tricks. Now he can grab and hold on to his toys when he is playing! Quite an accomplishment!
He also likes to suck on his bottom lip while he does this. He is concentrating really hard! Look what I can do mommy!
Henry also learned how to sit in his Bumbo! (Thanks Ami!) He likes it for about ten minutes :)
Henry met his new little friend Katie, my friend Jen's little girl :)
He is such a boy! Katie just wanted to get a little closer and Henry's face is saying, mommy get this girl off of me! ;)
Henry grabbing more toys off his play mat. Look how pleased he looks :)
James can get Henry to laugh now on cue :) It is the sweetest thing ever!
Henry is getting better at enjoying tummy time. He is so close to rolling over! I try to get him to practice everyday.
He's also getting really good at lifting his head straight up!
Henry LOVES his exersaucer! (Thanks again Ami!) He loves standing so the exersacuer is perfect for him. Plus is keeps him safe and entertained while I get some stuff done.
Henry is mobile!!! Well... kind of. Check this out. He was playing on the floor and I put him down like this:
The next thing I know, he has turned himself sideways, like this!
As if that was not enough, then he turned upside down!
And finally the other way :) He did a complete 360!
Oh and here is proof that James and I made it out a few weekends ago! I was proud of myself that I went out, only texted my sister a few dozen times, danced a bunch, and stayed out till midnight! I was exhausted! Here's me and James with our friend Niki :) Good times!
Ok that does it for now, hopefully I'll blog again sometime this month and not wait quite so long!

A day in the life...
So many people every day ask me how Henry is. It is such a loaded question, I have a hard time answering it. How IS Henry??? Henry is: sweet, cute, feisty, adorable, loving, smart, strong, amazing, tiring, and endlessly energetic especially at 5 in the morning! To better answer the question of how Henry is, I thought I'd give you a little glimpse of a day in the life of my Henry...
3:00 am - Henry wakes up for the first time, starving. Luckily Daddy takes him at this point, changes him, feeds him and rocks him back to sleep.
5:00 am - Guess who is up again already? Yup! Hungry again! And yes, we are trying to solve this little problem but when you see Henry's sweet face smiling at you in the morning, you kinda forget it's 5 am! I usually take him for this feeding and then play with him a bit before getting ready and heading to work.
6:00 am - Henry is handed over to either Auntie Em or Daddy while Mommy gets ready for work.
7:00 am - Mommy heads off to work :*(
7:00-9:00 - Happy play time! Henry is such a morning person, he plays and talks and giggles all morning long. It really is adorable but also quite tiring if you have just woken up. It's hard to be that happy first thing in the morning but Henry helps :)
9:00 - Feeding time! Daddy or Auntie Em feeds Hungry Hungry Henry
9:00-10:30 - Nap time! After getting up and playing so much, Henry needs a nap... why he can't nap at 5:00 am, I'll never know ;)
10:30-12:00 - More play time! Henry LOVES being read to. James bought him about 50 Dr. Suess books that he enjoys on a daily basis.
12:00 - Feeding time!
12:00-1:30 - Nap time!
1:30-3:00 - Play time!
3:00 - Mommy comes home!!!! I am so happy to come home to see my baby boy. I get to feed him and hear all about his day.
3:00-4:00 - Mommy playtime :) I love playing with him after a long day at work, makes me feel so happy!
4:00-5:00 - Mommy and Henry take a nap together. A much needed break so I can get through the next few hours which tend to be the hardest on Henry.
5:00-6:00 - We hang out by the pool. Henry LOVES being outside. So we sit in the shade and soak our feet in the pool. I have found he likes this FAR better than actually getting in.
6:00 - Feeding time!
6:00-7:00 - Playtime/outside time/some quiet nap time depending on his mood.
7:00-7:30 - Henry and Mommy go for a walk! Like I said, he loves being outside. So once the sun goes down and it drops below 100 we walk around the neighborhood.
7:30-8:30 - Mommy does ANYTHING to keep Henry awake and happy. This includes but is not limited to: dancing, singing, doing Tae Bo (yup!), playing, bouncing, watching Sesame Street, listening to (gulp) Katy Perry and Lady Gaga (no idea where this kid gets his music taste, and get this... he hates country! go figure!)
8:30-9:00 - Bath time! Henry LOVES bath time and I have figured out how to minimize the screaming when he gets out! Yippee! Henry has also figured out how to splash! There is not a dry space when the kid is done! It is so adorable!
9:00 - Time to get ready for bed! Last bottle of the day and cuddle time with momma. One of my favorite parts of the day. I get to snuggle with a warm, clean, sleepy baby boy... ahhhhh! Love it!
9:30 - I finally lay little man down in his bassinet (yes, he still fits!) right next to my bed where I can keep an eye on him.
That is usually the end of his day. Whew! I am tired just writing it! So there you have it. I hope this helps all you people who ask how Henry is. No he is not sleeping through the night but I wouldn't trade a million sleep filled nights for one late night bottle feeding with my little boy. Yes, it is hard. I won't lie or sugar coat, it is ridiculously hard, but it's amazing too. I love Henry more than I ever thought possible and I'm really ok with all the tough stuff that comes with him because I get wonderful stuff too :) See?

The many faces of Henry
Henry has grown up so much in the past two months. I can't believe he is already ten weeks old! I feel like he has been a part of our lives forever. As much as I look forward to watching him grow up, I'm sad to already see him not fitting in his newborn diapers and growing out of his 0-3 month clothes. I have learned SO much about Henry in the past ten weeks. What he likes, what he doesn't like, how to feed him, change him, play with him, make him smile, comfort him, dress him up in cute little outfits :) etc... Henry has been having fun learning all kinds of new tricks too. He smiles ALL the time, but usually stops when I pick up a camera. He reaches for his toys and can sometimes make them go. He has found his fist and totally enjoys chewing on it, I'm just waiting for him to find his thumb! He can sleep for a good five hours (sometimes more!!! ) at night. He loves being outside, sitting by (and sometime when the water is warm enough going in) the pool, going on walks and hikes. He is a sweet, adorable, spunky little boy and I just can't get enough of him. It's probably why I've taken about a zillion pictures! Here are just a few of my favorite Henry faces!
Henry's first hike with mommy and daddy.
This face absolutely KILLS me! When he gets older he is totally going to use it to get what he wants and I am sad to admit, it will probably work!
Henry and baby Woody. Thanks Aimee! She was kind enough to remember Henry when she visited the happiest place on earth and brought back a little something for Henry. (For those that don't know, Woody was James's nickname from some of my friends)
What in the world is on my head?!?
I may have posted this one already but I just love it!
Mwahhhahhhahhha! Up to no good ;)
He LOVES his bath... getting out, not so much!
Hey grandma, sitting up is hard!
Henry's full and contented face. My mom says he looks like Winston Churchill! That's ok Churchill was a great man, right? ;)
Auntie Em got this for Henry before he was even born and now it finally fits!
His eyes are seriously sooooo blue! We're wondering if they will stay since neither James nor I have blue eyes. They are so pretty!
He's taken to sucking on his bottom lip. I think it makes him look like he's deep in thought. Hmmmmm...
What kind of trouble can I get into today ? :)
He also likes to pucker up his lips! He, of course, gets kisses any time he does this!
