I met Aimee at Painted Sky Elementary School during our teaching methods block in fall 2002. I was sitting in a classroom that had been appropriated for the University of Arizona. As I sat waiting for class to begin, in walked this burst of energy and sat down right next to me. She introduced herself right away and the rest, as they say, is history. We became fast friends finding we had so much in common. She told me amazing stories of her travels and I told her slightly less amazing stories about who knows what?! During that year, we started going out on the weekends together with a few other girls from our block and we always had such fun! Aimee and I went through boyfriends and breakups, graduations and finding jobs, apartments and houses, trips to Vegas and San Diego, the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. She has been there through it all. Aimee is a true die-hard romantic and finally, FINALY, she has found her happily ever after! She told me many times that she simply refuses to "settle" for anything less than her knight that will sweep her off her feet. She found him! When I met Robert, I knew she had found "the one." She knew it too! And when Aimee asked me to be her bridesmaid, I don't think I even let her finish the sentence before I said yes! How could I not stand next to her on one of the most important days of her life?! And even though it was HER wedding, Aimee was constantly thinking of other people throughout the entire process. I had to remind her on more than one occasion, Aimee, this is about YOU!! I have many amazing pictures I want to share because I know how hard it is to wait for the official photographer's pictures, so Aimee, I hope you don't mind, but they were too good not to share! Mostly, I want to post these for our friend Jenn, who so wanted to be there but just had a baby and was unable to travel. So Jenn, I hope this helps you feel like you were there! BTW, James took all of these. He's pretty good if I do say so myself :)

Father Harry did the wedding. He is quite a character!

Single flames...
Now one :)
The happy couple now joined as man and wife :)
After the ceremony, it was picture time! Only a few were snapped at the church so I have none of those. But James did capture my awesome hairdo!
Pretty huh? That stunning hairdo is being held up with no less than 25 bobby pins, I counted!
Cheese! I am practicing for later ;)
We made it back to Lowes Ventana Canyon Resort just as the sun was setting so we had amazing light for our photo session. James was standing right behind the photographer so he got some of the same shots. He was even offering his "expert" advice ;)
Me fixing the bride's lovely train. Her dress was AMAZING! Just like the bride herself :)
